Hunter Killed After Falling From Tree Stand

A hunter, who never returned home from a day in the woods on Saturday, was found dead late Saturday night in Carroll County after reportedly falling out of a tree stand.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Kevin Shaw of Massillon, Ohio.

"He was supposed to be home at 1:30 and he didn’t show up. The father had tried to call him on his cell phone, but was unable to get a hold of him. That’s what prompted his father to start looking for him, because he figured there was a problem," said Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams

Deputies said the victim was in a tree stand on Canyond Road in Union Township. That’s where the found his body suspended 20-feet above the ground.
