Wheeling Woman Charged With Shadyside Teen’s Death

A Wheeling woman was arraigned Friday in connection with the death of a local teen.Lauren Decker, 22, was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide stemming from the death of Shadyside teen Devron Lunsford.Lunsford, 16, died in August from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash in downtown Shadyside.Police said Decker was driving the motorcycle and Lunsford was on the back when they crashed into a car at 48th Street and Central Avenue.Belmont County Prosecutor Chris Berhalter said he hopes to bring long-awaited answers to Lunsford’s family and the community.Decker remains in the Belmont County Jail on $8,000 bond.
