Jefferson County Fire Injures Homeowner, Firefighter

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio -- A Jefferson County home was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon.The family got out, but the homeowner was injured and was transported to an area hospital. A firefighter also had to be transported.The home on state Route 213 in Pleasant Hill went up in flames around 2 p.m.Around 5 p.m. crews had to shut down the road because so many fire trucks and hoses were blocking the roadway.Two small fuel tanks in the basement of the home caught fire and caused small explosions.The cause of the fire is still unknown.
