Valley Road Crews Out In Full Force

The Ohio Department of Transportation, Wintersville district, told NEWS9 that road crews began hitting the roadways just after midnight Friday. The areas needed the most attention first were to the west of Wintersville, specifically places in Harrison County. The Wintersville garage had 12 crews out as of early Friday morning.In the Morristown district, 14 road crews hit the roadways Friday morning.The West Virginia Department of Highways have deployed crews in all local counties, and a special crew for the interstate.The area believed to be hit the hardest as of 5 a.m. was Columbiana County. Several fender- benders were reported.Temperatures are expected to be in the 20s, with wind chills in the teens.Stay with NEWS9 and WTOV9.com for continuing coverage.
