Empire Police Chief Reports 'Major' Bust

EMPIRE, Ohio -- Empire Police Chief Matt Donahue thought he was going to be writing a speeding ticket.Instead, he found himself arresting two people wanted on warrants out of Columbus.Donahue told NEWS9 Welsey R. Tarpley, 46, was wanted on a federal marshal's warrant for a weapons violation and Brenda Watters, 29, was wanted on a warrant out of Columbus.Donahue said he found suspected drugs inside the couple's car including cocaine, crack cocaine, 20 various prescription drugs, Percocet, and various drug paraphernalia.Donahue also confiscated 20 DVDs of suspected child pornography.
