Guernsey County park officials said an investigation is under way after a hunter recently was shot in both arms near Cambridge.

Investigators said 18-year-old Eric Doran, of Cleveland, was shot at Salt Fork State Park, about 6 miles outside of Cambridge.

Doran’s friends mistook him for a deer, according to park manager Hal Harper.

Harper said charges are pending.

Doran is in fair condition at an area hospital.
