As bad news keeps rolling out of the domestic auto industry, local auto mechanics said they are seeing more business.Doug Eaton, owner of Wheeling Tire, said people are trying to get more life out of the car they own and, because of that, he’s seeing more people needing brake replacements, oil changes and other work.“We started really noticing it when fuel prices went way up. Now, even though fuel prices are down, with all the talk of the Big Three car companies going under, I think people are scared to buy a new vehicle," Eaton said.Eaton said while tuning up your car can be costly, it is rarely more expensive than going out and buying a new car.
