Jefferson County police are investigating an incident Tuesday night in which one person was stabbed in the back.

The victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries, police said.

Prosecutor Tom Straus said the altercation near Bloomingdale involved six people.

Authorities are still investigating if the stabbing was in self-defense and are looking into events that led up to the altercation.
