Several Brush Fires Ignite In Valley County

Jefferson County dispatchers told NEWS9 that firefighters stayed busy Sunday responding to several brush fires in the area.

Dispatchers said there were roughly 10 brush fires throughout the day.

The fires started early in the morning and continued to ignite well into the evening, according to officials.

Dispatchers said the brush fires happened from the Wintersville area, all the way to out near Irondale.

There was no cause for the fires as of late Sunday, and dispatchers said they weren't sure if the fires could be connected.

No injuries were reported from any of the fires.
