MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. -- Three Wendy's employees were fired after pubic hair was intentionally put on a hamburger served to a police officer.Chief Deputy Kevin Cecil said two employees face misdemeanor charges in connection with the incident.Deputies said 32-year-old Thomas Bender put the hair on the hamburger after being prompted by 20-year-old Joshua Monroe.Blood and urine test results showed there were no diseases on the hair. If the samples had shown the men had any diseases, police said they could have charged them with felonies.Investigators said the men confessed to the crime. The Wendy's franchise owner, Ben Thompson, said both men and the shift manager on duty at the time were fired as a result of an internal investigation. While the shift manager is not facing criminal charges, Thompson said the person did not follow procedure.
