Second Round Of Vandalism Reported At Local Business

Police in Follansbee are stepping up patrols in one neighborhood after a rash of vandalism.

Dispatchers told NEWS9 that Dan's Auto Glass has been the target of vandals, not once, but twice in just a week. The most recent incident happened early Saturday.

Dan Yost owns the auto glass shop, and he told NEWS9 that whoever did the damage to his store rammed a car into a sign outside of the business.

Yost said the sign was moved after the first time the vandals struck in the hopes of preventing it from happening again.

"You know they've got to be ignorant people to be doing something like this," Yost said.

According to the Brooke County Sheriff's Department, a home in the area also received damage from a car recently.

Police are investigating all of the cases.
