STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- The Steubenville Catholic Diocese issued a news release Friday stating that it had received allegations that a priest, who also was a teacher in the diocese, abused a minor while in 1970.

The accusations were made against Father Jon Nadzam, who is now deceased. He served in several parishes across the Ohio Valley, and also was a teacher at Steubenville Catholic Central High School.

The diocese is asking if there are any other victims for them to please come forward.

We applaud the victim who was strong enough to report the abuse that he or she suffered.
