Four Arrested On Copper Theft Charges In Carroll County

Four people were arrested over the weekend on suspicion of stealing copper from cell phone towers throughout Carroll County.The following were arrested: Tracy A. White, 37, of Union Ave., Minerva; Annette E. White, 36, of Union Ave., Minerva; Ryan O. Hawk, 27, of Manor Road, Minerva; and Michael S. Saunders, 23, of Jade Road, Dellroy.According to a news release from the sheriff's department, the thefts happened over the past two years and may have also occurred in surrounding counties and states.The suspects are all facing several felony counts each of theft, breaking and entering, and receiving stolen property.Two other individuals facing charges resulting from the investigation are Jody McDougal, 32, of Clover Court N.W., Canton, and Wade D. Armstrong, 23, of Dewdrop Road, Bowerston.Police said several of the suspects involved were employed in the communication tower construction field.Sgt.
