Wetzel County Woman Contracts Swine Flu

Wetzel County Health Department officials confirm to NEWS9 that a 56-year-old New Martinsville woman has contracted the H1N1 virus.

Administrator Dorthy Lockett told NEWS9 the department received word Friday evening about the woman's condition.

Lockett said after investigating the case they believe the woman received the virus while traveling out of the state.

Lockett also said they believe the woman's case is fairly mild.

This latest case brings the total number of Ohio Valley cases to four with two in Steubenville and one other in Hancock County.
