Crash Doesn't Stop Suspect In Police Chase

A man is facing fleeing and alluding charges after leading Jefferson County deputies on a wild chase.

Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla said when deputies pulled over Daniel Renforth and his passenger James Roe on Route 22 last night they found both had warrants out for their arrest.

When a deputy went to arrest Roe, Abdalla said Renforth took off leading deputies on a chase up Route 22 toward Harrison county.

According to Abdalla, Renforth tried to get off the Hopedale exit, and his car went airborn landing on its roof, and that's when Abdalla said he got out and led deputies on a two mile foot chase.

"It's pretty brazen, he's lucky he didn't get himself killed or someone else killed, " said Abdalla.

Deputies caught Renforth on hilltop street in Hopedale, he now faces fleeing and alluding charges on top of the felony warrant out of Hancock County.

"I'm going to underscore it, idiots," said Abdalla.

Roe had a failure to appear warrant out of Jefferson County.
