STEUBENVILLE, OH -- The informal exploration tour for a possible US Senate run by controversial talk show host and former Cincinnati mayor Jerry Springer hit Steubenville today. The "Ringmaster" was the keynote speaker at the annual Convention of the Federated Democratic Women of Ohio. Springer says he's getting a feel for possible voter support, and wants to see if he can help the Buckeye State. "Even though people know me now because of my stupid show, most of my life I've been involved in politics. There is an incredible lack of leadership in this state right now. The economy is horrible, and education is in a horrible state. I have some ideas and I'm looking forward to sharing them," Springer told NEWS 9 on Saturday. Nearly 100 women from all over Ohio attended the three-day conference at the Steubenville Holiday Inn.
