Local Man Leads Troopers On High-Speed Chase

A local man is behind bars after he led state troopers on a high-speed chase.Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatchers told NEWS9 it happened early Thursday morning just off State Route 7 on Horsemill Road.Gordon Irwin, 56, of Beallsville, eventually crashed his vehicle over a hillside during the pursuit and fled on foot, dispatchers said.His injuries are non-life-threatening.Irwin remains in the Belmont County jail and charges are pending against him.Stay with NEWS9 and WTOV9.com for continuing coverage.
