Attempted Kidnapping Stopped In Belmont County

Robert Michael Cunningham is in the Belmont County Jail, accused of trying to kidnap a female in the old Giant Eagle Plaza near Bridgeport, police said.A sheriff's deputy said he saw Cunningham forcing the person into his car around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.The victim's age was not clear. Cunningham also faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon and aggrevated menacing , police said.
