Police Investigate If Robberies In Ohio, West Virginia Are Connected

Police on both sides of the river are investigating if three robberies are connected.

The most recent incident was an armed robbery Tuesday morning at the Toronto Apothecary.

The robber walked into the pharmacy through the front door and held a customer at gunpoint then ordered the pharmacist to give him a bottle of methadone.

The robber is described as a white male in his early 20s about 6' to 6'1" tall.

Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla said he's also looking for a robber after a man was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Toronto Church on County Road 46 near Knoxville.

Across the river in Weirton, police are investigating after the pharmacy at Rite-Aid on Cove Road was robbed.
