Stacey Thornton-Wilson graduated Steubenville High School in 1981 and now lives on the Ft. Hood army post with her husband, who is a soldier.

She works with a group of women to provide spiritual support to families stationed at the post.

Thornton-Wilson was not on the post the day 13 people were shot to death and dozens of others were injured in a shooting rampage on Nov. 5.

She was on a retreat with her group Protestant Women of the Chapel.

Thonrton-Wilson told NEWS9 the wound is still very fresh for families living at Ft. Hood.

She said the post is considered a safe place and many are now living in fear.

"Every time I enter our post, I become very emotional and it just brings tears to my eyes because I keep seeing the families and the family members that wen through this tragedy," said Thornton-Wilson. "The time is still so short since it happened."

Thorton-Wilson is working to lend support to families on the post through her religious outreach.

Maj. Nidal Hasan, a counselor who was stationed at Fort Hood, is suspected in the shootings.
