Defense To Appeal Murder Conviction In High-Profile Case

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The same attorney defending suspended Martins Ferry Police Chief Barry Carpenter in the celebrity surrogate scandal trial will be in a Youngstown courtroom Wednesday.Attorney Dennis McNamara will appeal a murder conviction out of Jefferson County decades after the crime.Last summer, Michael Harris was convicted of the 1987 murder of Jill Howard in Steubenville.Stay with NEWS9 and WTOV9.com for continuing coverage of this case.
