Free Swine Flu Shot Clinic In Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Health Department will hold a free swine flu shot clinic for top priority individuals.

The clinic takes place Wednesday at Karafa Middle School in Toronto from 5 to 7 p.m.

The nasal spray will be available for healthy people, ages 2-24, 25-to-49 year-old adults that live with or care for infants younger than 6 months, or health care and emergency medical personnel.

The swine flu shot is available to pregnant women, people who care for infants younger than 6 months, anyone 6 months to 24, or adults 25 to 64 years of age with certain chronic medical conditions or a weakened immune system.

A swine flu shot clinic will also be held Thursday at Buckeye Local High School in Rayland.

A second dose of the swine flu vaccine is available to children 9 years old and younger.
