STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- Four months into the project, construction of a new Steubenville city building is right on track, crews said Friday. While the outside of the building looks nearly complete, project manager Brad Burkhead said contractors from Cattrell Companies are now focusing on mechanical and electrical installation. The building is set to open by summer of 2010.Burkhead said the building will have various suites for the city's finance department, the health department and all other offices located in the city's current headquarters. He said after the walls are in place, the project will begin to come to fruition. Burkhead said crews will install about 26 heating and air-conditioning units. The next step will be constructing walls and filling in drywall. Lastly, crews will paint, install carpets, and put the ceilings up.He said cooler temperatures aren't setting the project back and the crew is trying to work quickly to wrap up by June.
