Hollywood Video along Main Street in Wintersville abruptly closed itsdoors, leaving customers and employees with a number of questions.

A sign on the door of the video rental store said “closed” and directed customers to itsstores in McKees Rocks, P. and Calcutta, Ohio.

An employee at the store next door, Cellular Connection, said they’ve been fielding questions from customers. “They had a moving truck out there and they were all gone by 5 p.m. that night, completely gone with a sign on the door,” said Debbie Layman.

Wintersville Village Administrator Walt Ziemba said the village was not notified of the closure.

A phone call into the media line for Hollywood Video has not been returned.
