Pedestrian Struck By Car In Belmont County; No Reported Injuries

Emergency crews responded to a call that a pedestrian was struck by a car in St. Clairsville.

Officials said the person was only slightly bumped by the car and the person was not injured.

A dispatcher told NEWS9 the incident happened in the First Presbyterian Church parking lot at Marietta and West Main streets around noon Wednesday.

Police said a vehicle backing out of a parking space in the church parking lot slightly bumped a person walking behind the vehicle.

Officials said neither party wants to pursue any legal action.
