STEUBENVILLE, OH -- PacSun will be the Fort Steuben Mall's newest store.
Mall Manager Mike Glenn says it's a store that will appeal to younger shoppers. PacSun sells contemporary cloths. The national retailer is on schedule to open its doors in mid-June. The shop is moving into the space that used to house Northern Reflections. It's been empty for three years. Glenn says this store will make the mall diverse. He says the mall is moving in a new direction. Fort Steuben hopes PacSun will attract teenage shoppers. Glenn says this store could lead to future growth at the mall. He says national retailers are watching the mall's new additions, which will factor in other stores' decisions to move into the mall.
Meantime, construction at the Dick's Sporting Goods store is moving ahead. Glenn says the Dick's is scheduled to open on time in mid-July. The store is moving to the former Ames building right next to the mall.
Glenn says he hopes Dick's and PacSun will keep shoppers in the Ohio Valley, instead of making the trip to Robinson.
