Ohio Senators Looking For Asbestos Reform

Both of Ohio's senators are working hard to push through a bill on asbestos reform. They call it a crisis situation in Ohio. Senators Dewine and Voinovich say this legislation will benefit the victims and the companies. They're proposing that victims suffering from asbestos related-illnesses are guaranteed compensation. Companies would have to pay into a fund every year and that money would help cover the cost. Across the nation, states are getting bogged down with a significant number of asbestos cases going through the court system. The senators say one county in Ohio had as many as 40,000 asbestos cases.
