Judge Rules Class Action Suit Opposing Traffic Cameras Can Be Filed

'Certification As Class Action' Includes Those Who Paid Tickets

A Jefferson County judge ruled today that a class action suit may be filed with regard to the Steubenville traffic cameras.

Judge David E. Henderson entered a "Certification as Class Action," which permits a class action lawsuit to proceed against the city of Steubenville and Traffipax, Inc.

Henderson ordered that all persons who received the automated citations can participate in the suit, whether they paid the fine or not.
