Steubenville Traffic Camera Conference Continued

If you're waiting to find out when you'll get your money reimbursed from a Steubenville traffic camera ticket, you'll just have to wait a little longer.

A camera conference was scheduled for Monday in Judge David Henderson's Jefferson County Court, but was continued until April 12.

At the meeting, the judge will decide how to reimburse the people who paid the speeding tickets they were issued from the traffic cameras.

You'll recall, a few weeks back, Judge Henderson ruled the citations violated an ordinance that says notice would have to be given to the public before cameras were installed.

The judge did not however make a decision as to whether or not the cameras are constitutional.

At the camera conference, there will reportedly be a discussion on how to go about putting cameras up in the future, as the city of Steubenville has said they have plans to put the cameras back up.

Also, at this meeting, people will also reportedly find out how they can opt out of the class action lawsuit filed by local attorney Gary Stern if they so choose.

The meeting will happen April 12 at 2 p.m.
