Illegal Immigrants Arrested In Wheeling
After leading police on a chase, four illegal immigrants from Mexico were arrested in Ohio County on Wednesday.Police also said a local employer based in Pennsylvania hired the men, knowing their status as illegal immigrants.Ohio County Sheriff's Deputy John Haglock said he stopped the vehicle after the driver made a right turn without signaling on McGraw Run Road in Wheeling.Haglock said he made eye contact with the driver, then the car took off, leading Haglock on a chase for nearly three miles.When the driver finally stopped, Haglock discovered that all four passengers were illegal Mexican nationals."When I asked the gentleman for his driver's license, registration or proof of insurance, they spoke broken English.
