Online Sex Bust In The Ohio Valley

Police said 26-year-old Rickey Ohle was using his computer to solicit sex from a 15-year-old girl in Brilliant, Ohio. He had no idea the girl was working with Wells Township police.

"Usually we have to react to things. Fortunately on this occasion we were able to be proactive. They came to us, we realized we had a problem, and we were able to put some resources into it," said Sgt. Sean Norman, of the Wells Township Police Department.

Devin Delauder, 15, said she knew right away something was wrong. Delauder is part of a youth program called Haunted House that helps kids build relationships with law enforcement officials. She said because of that program, she knew where to turn.

"If it wouldn't have been for Haunted House, I would have never known the cops. I would have never gone to any of them because I wouldn't have felt comfortable," said Delauder.

Working alongside police, Delauder showed them what Ohle said to her online, and they were able to coach her with what to say back.

"He said inappropriate things for a conversation between a 26-year-old and a 15-year-old. He also made sexual remarks and derogatory remarks to this girl," said Sgt. Norman.

Police said Ohle started to back off online because he wanted Delauder to call him. Police set up two calls, and Ohle said he was on his way over. However, officers had the house surrounded.

"He came in and the door shut, and then Sean was just right there. He (Ohle) didn't even get three steps in the door," said Delauder.

Police were able to arrest him on the spot, especially because of what he brought to Delauders house.

"Obviously when he shows up with a bottle of whiskey and a condom, we know what his intent is, unfortunately," said Sgt. Norman

Police said Ohle was using the name "Slade" on the Myspace website. They showed NEWS9 pictures of numerous young girls that he was communicating with on the sitesome from the Ohio Valley. That worries police that there may be other victims. If you have any information, please contact the Wells Township police.
