Only On 9: Arson Victim Speaks Out

The victim of a Wheeling arson said he has no idea who would do such a thing, and now he's stuck paying the price of the damages.

The Poplar St. home caught fire Thursday night, and witnesses said they actually saw a woman setting the fire.

The owner, Ed Hinebaugh, said the home was one of his rental properties which was currently unoccupied.

Hinebaugh said the property was under contract to be sold, and he just completed work on the home.

He said his insurance company will not cover the damage, so he is forced to pay out of his own pocket.

Hinebaugh said his job as a landlord may have something to do with the incident.

"It's not a glorious business... People don't come up with the rent and you have to kick them out. You bend as much as you can, but sometimes you make enemies...It could be anybody," he said.

Police are still searching for a blonde woman with a thin build in her 30s, possibly driving a two-door white sports car with either Pennsylvania or West Virginia plates.
