BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. - Ralph Strope, a man who was pulled over for reckless driving and struck one of the officer's cruisers with his car and lead police on a chase along US 22 into Pennsylvania last December, pled guilty to two felony offenses at the Brooke County Courthouse.
Strope, 46, signed those agreements, and then listened to his sentence for two offenses -- two counts of felony of malicious assault on a government representative and two counts of fleeing from police.
He'll serve not less than one or more than 5 years in the West Virginia penitentiary system on the first count and not less than 3 or more than 10 on the second count.
Strope will be given credit for the time he has already served to his full sentence.
That credit will go toward the time Strope has already spent behind bars which dates all the way back to last December when he was first arrested for his charges.
