Updated: Saturday, November 9 2013, 08:52 PM EST

Wheeling police are looking for a man after they received a 911 call that a person was shot at from a car at 2624 Warwood Avenue.

Police said it happened at 2:25 p.m.

A man was standing in front of his residence when a silver car had passed him going very fast. The victim yelled at the driver to slow down. The driver then slammed on his brakes and turned the car around.

The driver then parked about 50 yards north of the man and started walking toward him.

The man said that the driver then pulled a small handgun from his pocket, aimed it toward him and fired one shot.

The driver then ran to his car and fled south on Warwood Avenue.

Police say the driver is described as a white man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, heavyset or stocky build, bald and in his mid to late 20s.

They say the vehicle could be a newer body style silver four-door Honda Civic or Accord with West Virginia registration.
