Police searching for armed robber

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio - Police in Jefferson County are searching for a man who robbed a local  business Saturday afternoon.

Police say a man entered the Pytash Country Market on Route 213 in Jefferson County and approached the cashier with a note demanding money.
The man also reportedly unzipped his hooded sweatshirt and showed the cashier what appears to be a gun in his waistband.
The cashier gave the man an undisclosed amount of money before the man left on foot.
The robber then got into a vehicle and drove south on Route 213.
Police describe the man as a while male between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet weighing between 200 and 220 pounds. He was wearing a red ball cap, glasses, a gray and black hooded sweatshirt and a black T-shirt with jeans and black tennis shoes.
The vehicle the robber allegedly drove away in was described as a silver late-model Volkswagen Jetta.
