Shots fired in local club

CHESTER, W.Va.  - Hancock County Detectives are looking for a suspect following a shooting in Chester on Saturday.

Hancock County Dispatch received a call early Saturday morning of a report fight inside the Velocity Club along Route 30. Then another call about reporting gunshot inside the club came just minutes later.

A 32-year-old female was said to have sustained a gunshot wound to her shoulder during the incident. Her name has not been released.

Sheriff Ralph Fletcher said both the victim and the suspect left the scene separately prior to the arrival of Hancock County deputies.  While on scene, deputies recovered a second bullet from a wall inside the establishment along with two bullet casings.

"At this point, we do have a person of interest and our detectives will be pursuing all possible leads," Fletcher said.
