Follansbee ready for Community Days

Updated: Thursday, July 10 2014, 06:43 PM EDT
BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. – The Follansbee Community Days start Friday and run through Sunday. The food vendors and craft vendors showed up and set up a day earlier. It’s all part of a space meant to entertain thousands -- just like it's been over the past 22 years.
"We have some new vendors this year,” Chairman Tom Ludwig said. “New food booths different from last year, terrific bands, and a terrific fireworks display Sunday Night."
All those new additions keep helping this event grow.
“It just gets bigger and bigger,” said Don Layburn, chairman of the entertainment committee. “And it's all free set your chair up by the stage. Just enjoy the weekend and it's really fantastic it's a good time."
Of course it's all for the community.
And there's no better way to say thanks to a community than taking months to organize a free, fun-filled weekend.
"When this event is over, we'll start meeting again in August for the following year,” Ludwig said. “We’ll get ready and prepare to have this all done."
