Nicosia back in Harrison County to face charges

Updated: Friday, August 15 2014, 06:39 PM EDT
HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio – The third and final suspect in a violent home invasion and burglary in Jewett is finally back in Harrison County.
Bryan Nicosia had been on the run for several weeks following the brutal crime last month. On Friday, authorities returned from a 552-mile journey to Detroit to pick him up. He was arrested there last week.
The Harrison County Grand Jury indicted him on a felony count of aggravated burglary and kidnapping. Those charges are in connection to an incident where a 71-year-old Jewett man was allegedly bound, choked beaten and robbed in his home.
"As police chief of the village, I'm very relieved,” Jewett Chief Ron Carter said. “I think the residents are relieved he's been indicted a felony 1 burglary, and felony kidnapping. I think any time we can take someone like that off the streets, it’s definitely a deal for not just the local community, but for the surrounding communities to keep him off the streets."
Nicosia and the two female suspects previously arrested and indicted in connection to this case are all scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 26.
