Just before 2 p.m.  Thursday, officials in Guernsey County  were notified about an incident involving a pizza delivery driver not returning after a delivery.

A deputy responded to the delivery address and spoke with a female at the residence. The female advised that her boyfriend was seen leaving driving the pizza delivery vehicle.

Officials believe that an abduction took place at the residence.   Authorities with the Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped the vehicle on I-70 at 7:16 p.m, and the driver was taken into custody.

Officials later requested the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office to meet them at Dillon State Park where the victim’s body was found.

Muskingum County sheriff’s deputies and Guernsey County Sheriff’s deputies along with B.C.I. are processing the scene at Dillon State Park while Guernsey County deputies will be processing the victim’s vehicle and the delivery address.

The driver remains in custody and the victim’s name will not be released until the next of kin is notified.
