MINGO JUNCTION, Ohio --

A Jefferson County business has been broken into not once, but six times in the last year, according to the owner.

The crimes have happened at the Avalon Bar in Mingo Junction.

“I saw that the window in the door was totally out and there was wood lying everywhere," said owner Linda Acconcia describing what she saw Tuesday morning after the most recent break-in. “They really didn't get a lot of money because they couldn't get in the safes. The thing of it is I have to keep spending a fortune on having things replaced."

Just days ago, the front window was broken. This time, the area behind the bar was ransacked along with the back office.

"The break-ins have to stop or it's going to put me out of business. I can’t keep going like this," Acconcia said.

Acconcia does have security cameras, but she told NEWS9 they are not working properly. She said she has also been thinking about installing a new security system, but it's another expense she can't afford.

"Please stop it. Leave us people who work hard every day working to make a living. Please leave us alone,” she said.
