Mingo Junction passes sewage rate increase

JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH

TUESDAY

Residents voicing their displeasure about an increase in sewer bills from $2 to $8.

Mingo Junction passed the ordinance unanimously to help pay for a mandated project to separate sewer and storm water lines.

The village will have a 20-year loan from the state, which will help pay for the project.

The increase would likely go into effect over the summer.
