BETHLEHEM, W.Va.

After months of construction, a brand new funeral home opened up in the village of Bethlehem.

Garrett Daniel, the mayor of Bethlehem, said they're starting another construction project in the village.

He said three years ago they started redoing the big water tower that they've had for years.

Daniel said they have replaced about five water lines in the last five or six years.

Now he said they have just started work on their next water tower on Sugar Lane.

"And we did this without even passing rates along to the customers," said Daniel.

Daniel said they're budgeting about $500,000 for it.

He also said after months of constructionthe brand new Grisell Funeral Home on Ridgecrest Road just opened up in November.

"And it's a great improvement to the community, beautifying our corner up on the top of the hill here in Bethlehemand also the aspect of revenue will be a good thing out of the funeral home," said Daniel.

He said he is also excited about the new Rustic Bucket store located next door to the funeral home.

"The village of Bethlehem is in good shape, thankfully," said Daniel.

The new water tower project should take about six months to complete.
