JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio - Both north & southbound lanes of SR 7 have been reopened between Brilliant & Rayland in Jefferson County, per Ohio Department of Transportation Eastern Ohio District 11.

----------------------------------------------------

A stretch of Ohio 7 near Brilliant remains closed after flooding washed over all lanes and detoured traffic off of the highway.
"At one point there was 2 feet of water covering the road," Wells Township Police Chief John Ingram said.
The problems extended beyond that major artery. A lot of the side streets that lead to SR7 also have creeks that run along, closing those roads as well.  As the water levels have dropped, many of those side roads have reopened.
Workers will wait for the water to recede and to clean up debris to re-open Ohio 7.
