School counselor charged with selling pills

WHEELING, W.Va.--

A school guidance counselor is facing serious charges after a drug bust in Wheeling.

Kristyn Fetcko, 33, of Wheeling is facing federal drug charges for allegedly selling oxycodone pills.

According to Ohio County Schools Superintendent Dianna Vargo, Fetcko is an employee at Ritchie Elementary School.

Fetcko allegedly tried to sell prescription pills, on at least two occasions, to a confidential informant working for Drug Enforcement Agent, that’s according to a criminal complaint.

Fetcko and a friend allegedly met the informant at her home on Webster Avenue, in Elm Grove, and attempted to sell 10 oxycodone 30 mg pills for $350.

Fetcko went before U.S. Magistrate Judge James Seibert in Wheeling on Tuesday. She was released on her own recognizance.

She is scheduled to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 10 for a hearing.
