WELLSVILLE, Ohio - A search for a missing local man approaches a week but efforts to locate him have hardly diminished.  It's a story that has brought together a community -- the search for 24-year old Zane Carter, who was last seen on Friday, Aug. 8.
Some want hope, some want closure, but they all want answers to where he is and how he disappeared.
His father expressed his gratitude to the many people who showed up to a Wednesday evening prayer service for his son.
"Sunday night, for example, was a long night," Quinny Carter said. "From 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., they sacrificed their time to search for my son."
Zane Carter was last seen around 6 o'clock last Friday night.
Since then, social media has exploded with questions regarding his whereabouts, and police have launched an investigation to locate him.
The outpouring of support has proven overwhelming.
"I'm really blessed to be here in the city of Wellsville because I am truly overwhelmed by the support, generosity," Quinny Carter said. "We're all touched."
Still holding out hope, Carter spoke directly to his son during our interview.
"People love you, and it has been shown that you have touched a lot of people's lives," he said. "So it is not time to go yet."
Police continue to follow up on tips as their investigation progresses. And a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading authorities to Carter.
