Woman accused in murder-for-hire plot gets 4 months

Updated: Friday, July 11 2014, 02:25 PM EDT
BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio – A Bridgeport woman accused in a murder-for-hire plot in October 2013 learned her fate in front of Judge John Solovan on Friday morning in a Belmont County courtroom.
Tina Jaworksi, who police say contacted a friend and asked him to kill her ex-husband's girlfriend, was ordered to spend 4 months in jail after pleading guilty to one count of felony aggravated assault.
When Jaworski and the man met to discuss the details in the Bridgeport Bob Evans parking lot, the man recorded their conversation and immediately took the recording to police.
Next month, she will report to Eastern Ohio Correctional Center in Wintersville.
Also, one of three men previously charged in an aggravated assault in Martins Ferry appeared for a sentencing hearing.
Bellaire’s Cody Agler, 20, was sentenced to 24 months in prison for counts of aggravated robbery and improper handling of a firearm, stemming from a 2013 incident. That's when a victim told police he was pulled over on County Road 4 in Martins Ferry to talk on his cell phone when he was robbed at gunpoint.
All three men were later taken into custody, and officers recovered a black handgun, along with a cellphone, $60 in cash, and a bag that belonged to the victim.
