Cambridge man charged with arson

GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio --

A Guernsey County man has been charged with aggravated arson in connection with a house fire.

Matthew Robbins Jr., 18, of Cambridge, was charged on Friday.

According to the Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office, Robbins is accused of intentionally setting fire to an abandoned house on the night of Nov. 16.

Robbins was alleged seen fleeing the house in the 100 block of S. 12th Street not long before the blaze happened in the two-story, wood-framed structure.

Aggravated arson is a second-degree felony. Robbins' bond was set at $30,000 with no 10 percent allowed. He was transported to the Guernsey County Jail.
