WEIRTON, W.Va. – David Jarred Patterson, the man accused of placing explosives around the Weirton Municipal building on May 5, appeared in court again Friday morning where the judge rescheduled his preliminary hearing for next month.
The first time Patterson appeared in court was last Wednesday when he asked for his sentence and the judge informed him that in a felony case, he must have an attorney.
He next appeared in court last Friday, where his attorney asked for a bond reduction that was denied.
Patterson is charged with three counts of criminal use of an explosive device all felonies, which means 2-10 years in prison on each count.
He is next scheduled to appear in court at 10:30 a.m. on June 13.
