A Steubenville man is accused of firing multiple shots at a man who used to be his neighbor.

Alterik Rogers, 39, of Park Street, is charged with felonious assault. Officials said on Monday that more charges are expected to be filed.

Officials said a man was struck with a bullet in the leg around 6:30 p.m. Saturday near Lawson Avenue in the Pleasant Heights neighborhood. The bullet did not penetrate the victim's leg, but left a bruise.

"The vehicle was shot several times. The bullet entered the vehicle and struck the victim in the leg," Steubenville Police Chief Bill McCafferty said.
