STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- One of the suspects arrested in Jefferson County following a two-year long investigation into a heroin trafficking ring has learned his punishment.
Chicago native Rashaan Mukes will spend 6 months in the Eastern Ohio Corrections Center. That will be followed by two years community control.
He'll also have to forfeit nearly $7,000 and two firearms.
This is a result of his arrest in December where six people were indicted by the Jefferson County Grand Jury.
The group was responsible for transporting more than 23 kilograms of heroin from Chicago into the Steubenville area.
